Barefooted in the sun.

Yet another warm day, boiling warm I'd say and for us with hay-fever allergies, the past few days has been like a prison. Especially so for those who can't even move outside their houses. My time outside the house is limited to a few bouts per "session" before I need to go inside and take a shower, and get away from the pollen. And you feel in a way a bit down because you really would love to be outside the entire day and enjoy it to the utmost, but by doing so you'd get side-effects such as difficulty breathing, itchy and runny eyes and noses, soar throats and of course the immensely drain of energy.

Though despite my allergy I went out in the world today, I read in the fantastic book; The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova while having the sun licking my skin.
If you haven't read it, go buy it today. Especially if you're interested in travelling and vampires.

And of course, what I meant to talk about today, was my excursion out on the lake. Even though I had little or no energy, or so it felt like, I decided to freshen up by go out on the lake in my kayak. Just "paddling" out there, without a way to head in mind, I ended up on the other side of the lake.. Well sort of anyway, and I went ashore, and what did I find? I found my childhood-paradise! I always wanted to return to that place, because the colours of the grass and the moss, the placings of the trees and the sound of the waves hitting the rocks never left my mind. Peaceful and quiet, filled with areas where the blue-berries will spring up when that time comes and tons of clovers, sadly I didn't find any clovers of four. Walking around there barefoot, made me so calm, so relaxed and so elevated! I had finally found the place again. The area around the lake I live by is huge, and I always thought I knew where the place was whenever I went looking for it by bike or by foot, but I never found it until today.
I must say, this has been another good day. I'll return there with the camera when my sister comes home from Tromsų on wednesday. Sadly, but truly, I don't have a camera of my own. I should fix that at some point.

However, it is time for feeding I believe, so I'll pack up my things and get moving.

Have a nice evening!
